Queen’s College Foundation

The Foundation was formed in 1975 with the objectives of retaining the continuing interest and financial support of Past Students, Parents and Friends and of supporting the College financially through gifts, in cash and in kind, and through bequests.

The College, which opened its doors for the first time in 1888 to students, has since then nurtured and influenced the lives and careers of its many former residents, many of whom have gone on to have illustrious careers in all walks of life. As the College is not the recipient of any government, university or church funding, financial support from our alumni, parents and friends is a vital means of ensuring that current and future students will continue to enjoy all the wonderful benefits that Queen’s has to offer.

There are many new and exciting plans on the drawing board for the future development of Queen’s College. This development cannot take place without considerable financial support from our College Community. We therefore invite our extended community of alumni, current and past parents and friends to consider making a gift to the Queen’s College Foundation and enable us to fulfil our aim to be one of the most outstanding academic residential community of its kind in Australia.

How to make a gift

All gifts to the Queen’s College Foundation are fully tax deductible. There are special provisions for US and UK tax deductibility for gifts from those subject to US or UK taxation.

Gifts can be made:

  • As a one-off contribution
  • As pledged gifts over an agreed term
  • As gifts of property and art
  • As gifts of stocks and shares
  • As a bequest
  • Donations of shares, property and works of art no longer attract capital gains tax, giving the donor the full tax benefit.

To discuss your interest in contributing in a meaningful way to the Queen’s College Foundation building programme please contact the Director of Development on (03) 9349 0760 for a strictly confidential consultation.
